The next meeting of the European Working Group on Internal Erosion (EWGIE) shall be hold in Vienna AUSTRIA
Tuesday 18 June, Wednesday 19 June and Thursday 20 June, 2013,
hosted by the University of Technology of Vienna (Prof. Dietmar Adam and Prof. Peter Tschernutter)
and organised by Dr. Alexius Vogel (Risk Assessment International).
The objective of our meeting shall be as follows:
– Draft of ICOLD Bulletin 2 "INTERNAL EROSION IN EXISTING DAMS: INVESTIGATIONS, TESTING, MONITORING AND DETECTION, REMEDIATION AND CASE HISTORIES"
Volume 2 should be advanced before we meet, and we could distribute current drafts to delegates before the meeting. Some delegates may wish to do presentations on their contributions.
– Expose the most recent results on the following topics
I. Last results of research laboratory and on site tests, modelling and interpretation
II. Methods of inspection, surveillance, detection and monitoring
III. Engineering methods for risk assessment
IV. Structural repair, strengthening and rehabilitation
V. Case studies, data bases of incidents and failu-res, lessons learnt from incidents
Very important : those who can not attend the next meeting but wish to stay informed about the activities of the working group can also complete the registration form.
Indeed, the mailing list of the group will be defined from these inscriptions, that you participate in the meeting in Vienna or not.
If you do not register, you will no longer receive mail about the group.
Access to documents posted on the website (presentations, reports) will be reserved for this list.
